History: Elaim was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Animal Trainer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Through the years after Pyntle was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Pyntle's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Pyntle and her spouse have recently divorced.
