Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Oskar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Oskar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he wants revenge against dire rats

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Theirastra was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Miller for the past few years.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and sabotage a competitor

History: Born in the west to a Bookbinder, Guy learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Bookbinder for hire.
