History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Ishte was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
