When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to protect his home

History: Ekk was born with her mother's beautiful face. Her childhood dream was to be a Ploughman, but she was a colossal failure. She tends to her Tailor job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and expand her business

Personality: She hates Half-Elves with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Half-Elven conditions. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
