History: The child of a Tanner, who enjoyed hunting, Rael was taken on many hunting expeditions. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Rael took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up scythe and armor he uses now. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Rael fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Arava alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Kaladan was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Kaladan alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in ceremonial dagger use. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.
