History: Gifted from a young age, Baern studied abroad. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
