However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the drow.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Ploughman. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
