History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: She was born into a rich family. After coming to the age of reason, Drifting took it upon herself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and she has money and likes to spend it
