His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

He prefers to carry a rapier, but if one is not available he will default to his shortspear, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 6'5" when asserting himself. He sports a long blonde beard, and similarly colored long hair. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Az-Rans fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
