History: Vepar hails from a village terrorized by illithids. She took after her mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting illithids, the young Vepar began to lead the lost caravan. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge
