History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Joan has worked very hard to control her curse.
