His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Kaladan never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She found a children's book about a Dwarf Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

History: Dalaba was born in the north. At a young age she loved to build and create. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Slave Trader work with an outfit from a few towns over. Slave Trader work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.
