History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He worked as a nervous Engraver and found it very stressful. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. She has all her life been fascinated with painting.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Mason. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born to a Shipwright, his father struggled to pay the bills. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He tends to his Mercenary job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Description: She likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. She carries with her a set of halberds on her belt, each one with a opal on the hilt. Her black hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. Her face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the west. Emma was born on a far western island where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Marshal. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
