History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tieflings in Balam's homeland. Balam decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He struck the Bookbinder job and began his own company from there.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Stableman arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Merchant they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Stableman, and he later adopted a second son.

Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in.
