History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

History: Elama lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Wants to raise her children well; and to unite with her sister

Description: His right thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He very much looks the part of a Engraver. His crest is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His eyes are a pleasant red.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Engraver. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and balancing his hectic life and new engraver responsibilities is difficult
