History: Ashgarn hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He married young, but lost his spouse to dire rats. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
