History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Engraver. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and revenge

Description: This exceptionally lanky woman wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized violet coat. She has wavy blonde hair. Her brown eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: She has a good heart but also a terrible temper. She will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. She is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Giselle grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Giselle. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: Loopmottin lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Butcher and was forced into it by her family.
