Description: A middle-aged man, he typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep black leather and dull grey iron scale mail, and is pretty ugly. He sports a long golden beard, and similarly colored long hair. His eyes are green and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Layabout. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He became a Layabout soon after.

Personality: Prone to second guessing herself, she comes off as nervous. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the west. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Half-Elven companion (her 'brother'). She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Description: Runty and weak-looking, he wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty tan coat over it. His silver hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines brown.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Barkeep hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Description: This dark-skinned female prefers to wear black pants and tee shirts. She is tall, broad shouldered and powerfully built. Her head has been shaved. Her green eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Vanchu was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Bookbinder for hire.
