History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the west. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting orcs, the young Barendd began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of a Mercenary, who enjoyed hunting, Arava was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: An older man who wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally he sports a white coat, he is not a threatening figure. His chestnut hair is singed and shortened. His fierce gray eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Born to a Knight, his father struggled to pay the bills. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
