History: Heian lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: Born in the west to a Knight, Trail learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. A freak accident while working with his Spice Merchant father left him crippled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
