History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. When Mardnab reached her early adolescence her Gnome father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bookbinder they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Marshal, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: She hates Gnomes with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. She keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to her own.

History: A powerful necromancer made her what she is. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
