History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Sage.

Description: She is a physically imposing dark-skinned woman. She wears a fancy white dress. She sports a flattop hair cut. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Grigi lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and marry her brother to traveling adventurers

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Calcitro embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Calcitro was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His childhood dream was to be a Layabout, but he was a colossal failure. He's also a talented Layabout, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and to share knowledge with the world
