History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Mardnab was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: She was born into a rich family. She found a children's book about a Dwarf Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
