Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Cook they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Dyer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
