History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting goblins, the young John began to lead the lost caravan. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Therlin was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Druid, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Druid in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Carpenter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
