The goblins captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Adventurer they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Map Maker, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Barbena was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Paelias grew up listening to his father's many stories. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
