Personality: She is overprotective of those who hire her services. The war was a terrible time for her, and Neega does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Personality: He is a Crown-heir first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. He worked as a nervous Crown-heir and found it very stressful. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: She is happy with her job as a Sage. She turns her eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Born in the south to a Sage, Harann learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Bertram's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Bertram was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
