Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Spice Merchant they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Sellsword, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Shepherd hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
