History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Gardain alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
