Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His white hair is thinning but still full. This hazel eyed southerner is not easily forgotten.
Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is stubborn though. He always likes to keep a trick up his sleeve. He likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if he feels he even has a chance of losing.
History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Being a Mason kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Description: He has a missing left arm. He wears suspenders and blue workpants. His shirt is red, and he wears a heavy blue leather apron most of the time. His chestnut hair is knotted and matted. His eyes are green.
Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.
History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Oppleby and his spouse have recently divorced.
Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Description: She wears a fancy tan dress. She is physically well-built. Her moppish black hair is in a traditional bowl cut. Her eyes are blue and catlike.
Personality: She is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, she's a very lovable idiot. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.
History: Born in the south to a Navigator, Mara learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
Motivation: She is greedy; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: She likes to brag about her accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.
History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
Motivation: Money/treasure; and she has money and likes to spend it
