Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ortegar embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Bather work with an outfit from a few towns over. Bather work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has worked as a Bather like her father before her.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and further expansion of business
