History: Hugh was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her childhood dream was to be a Fletcher, but she was a colossal failure. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
