History: Gifted from a young age, Balifra studied abroad. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. His crest is red and curly. His eyes are likewise gold. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Azzakh fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she wears a yellow vest and prefers blue and black shirts. Her boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. She has no hair. She is baby faced.

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Avelina was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature hand crossbow.
