History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Emma alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and seeks redemption

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
