He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Cartwright for the past few years.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born in the north to a Junk Dealer, Olivia learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She found a children's book about a Halfling Aristocrat who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She tends to her Junk Dealer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and balancing her hectic life and new junk dealer responsibilities is difficult

She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She's also a talented Carter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
