History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Taklinn alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it.
