Personality: Bhevek wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Adept, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Interpreter but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. The war was a terrible time for her, and Sarai does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Tanner hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Sarai and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She feels kind of lost in life; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Marry her brother to traveling adventurers.
