History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Body Guard and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Rurik was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Rurik's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Rurik fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. He found a children's book about a Tiefling Aristocrat who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and meet up once more with his childhood friend
