History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Shamash was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. History: Panana was born the youngest of three triplets. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

History: Born in the west to a Guard, Heward learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
