History: Elysande lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. At some point she was captured by orcs and was tortured. After several years of this she finally managed to escape. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Mugrunden was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
