History: She was born on a small isolated farm. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. The war was a terrible time for him, and Rael does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Rael never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Syllin is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gifted student she started as a Mortician, but she got bored and became a Carter. She's also a talented Mortician, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Born to a Priest, his mother struggled to pay the bills. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
