History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gardain was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Gardain has worked very hard to control his curse. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Neega lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
