History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Alberich was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. After a long history of fighting, Gnarsh and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Alain was born the youngest of three triplets. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
