History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Nurkara was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Elaim was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He got into the Bather business at a young age. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
