History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Darrow was born on a far eastern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Dilettante. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Description: He is a mite stocky and wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally he sports a tan coat. His golden hair is singed and shortened. His green eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. Beiro enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Beiro was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: She is a sleazy, sleazy gal. She has no qualms about using her powers of suggestion to get people to do what she wants. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: She got into the Navigator business at a young age. She always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Navigator.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Navigator responsibilities is difficult; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her poetry with anyone who is interested.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Burana was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and doesn't want to be a barber and was forced into it by her family
