After coming to the age of reason, Gorbundus took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
