History: Charles was born with his father's beautiful face. Through the years after Charles was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Charles's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Carlin alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Being a Bookbinder kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
