Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She comes from a rich southern family. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, gnolls burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying south to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and someone believes her a fraud

History: Born to a Shipwright, her father struggled to pay the bills. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and she desires power and/or immortality
