Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and she desires to right it
