Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Xanaphia grew up listening to her father's many stories. She always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break.

History: Alain was born in the south. At a young age she loved to build and create. Through the years after Alain was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Alain's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
